Is there a subscription?

No. One payment. You own the plans, including every future update. There is nothing to cancel because there's nothing recurring.

Do I need a gym?

No. A pull-up bar (or a sturdy table for rows) and floor space cover Recruit through most of Operator. The higher tiers add a rucksack and, eventually, a way to add weight. No gym membership required for any plan.

How is this different from a free YouTube playlist?

YouTube has the moves; FTX Mission has the program: sequenced daily sessions, verifiable thresholds tied to published standards, scheduled deloads, a test protocol, and documents you can print and follow. The thinking is the product.

Which plan should I start with?

Check the entry threshold on each tier page and start honestly. If you can't meet Recruit's entry standard yet, the plan tells you how to prepare. When in doubt, start one tier lower — the cost of starting too easy is a few easy weeks; the cost of starting too hard is injury.

I'm over 40 / 50 / 60. Is this for me?

Yes. Every plan and every exercise includes age-adjusted scaling — reduced volume, recovery-based progression, and joint-friendly options. Get medical clearance first (see the disclaimer included with the plans).

Will this get me ready for selection (BUD/S, SFAS, RASP)?

The Commando and Special Forces plans build selection-grade physical conditioning against documented baselines. Selection is also cognitive, sleep-deprived, and team-based — FTX Mission covers the physical pillar only, and it is not an official preparation program.
